knickinator: dimlor: knickinator: phenylketonurics: This was my mom’s favourite cartoon as a little girl.  When we found a DVD of it, she recoiled at the remastered opening and I knew at that moment I was the offspring of a 60’s weeaboo. When I first saw a trailer for this in one of the classic Disney movies (I want to say The Lion King), I was like “WTF? Lion King ripoff?” Especially since it was titled “Kimba: The White Lion”.Oh well, ripoff or not, the old animes were the best.  Kimba is way ollllllder than TLK Ha, that is pretty interesting. In fact, in its early stages, The Lion King was being produced as a Kimba movie, but they backed out or something and Disney just changed the color of the lions (I’d get more details, but you know, the entire Wikipedia thing…)
